Probably the nicest place to eat in Alamo. Food is good. Service is good. Also is a bakery. Well decorated and pretty location.

Restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the food is good and served in large portions.

after a long drive down the Extraterrestrial Highway after dark which we almost died by hitting some cows we quickly started looking for a place to stay we found windmill Ridge we arrived late didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with a cozy cabin number 8 with a jacuzzi tub yes there was a few things I would change but for the price you cannot beat it .Nice inside warm cabin feel. I would strongly suggest if you're driving at night to stop here it's a great spot to stop and rest it could also save your life. Driving these parts at night is not suggested unless you absolutely have to...!

The only issues were the plumbing. The drains in the room didn't want to drain.

We called ahead for a room so they knew we were coming. They said the grill closed at 6:30pm. We got there at 6:25 so quickly went in to register and quick order something to eat. They told us the grill had just shut down but they could make us a cold sandwich. We thought we would check with the waiter to see if we could at least get some soup. We then discovered that the grill had not been turned off, as the cook was still grilling hamburgers. He said “no”’, they would not put on 2 more hamburgers. If the grill had truly been shut off, we could have understood them not wanting to turn the grill back on, but that was not the case. They gave us room 24, which had toilet paper in the toilet and the floors looked like they had not been mopped good, so they then gave us 25, which was a little better, but microwave and fridge needed dusted super bad, and the Kleenex box was empty. We thought about leaving and going elsewhere, however, we were told we could check out but would still be charged for the room.

We went to Windmill Ridge twice for meals, while on our family vacation. The restaurant was surprisingly wonderful. The dining area was spacious and clean. The details around the cafe were cute, and I loved that each seating area was an actual residential dining set, instead of run of mill restaurant furniture. The food was delicious, and the kids menu was great! The wait staff was attentive and kind. Also, free WiFi! Definitely our favorite restaurant in all of Nevada!

Nice little (cabins) place to sleep. Not too fancy but clean and neatly maintained.
