I've eaten there twice now, once back in April 2016 and again in December 2016. Both times, it was above par food. For it being in Alamo (a "bit" off the less traveled path), it probably should have 5 stars. Both times, I've done Mexican dishes and I was happy. Wife and kids do the American and were similarly satisfied. Clean, well taken care of place. No credit cards, BUT they have an ATM right next to the cash register if you need it.
